    At UConn, the
    science of life and
    living organisms
    starts here.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is home to several biology departments and interdisciplinary programs. They comprise researchers and educators who are nationally recognized in their fields, and whose scholarly interests run the gamut from the smallest molecules to the most complex ecosystems.

Together, CLAS biology programs conduct innovative research and provide core life sciences education to all UConn undergraduate students. They also offer specialized undergraduate majors and minors, graduate degree programs, and opportunities for students to get involved in research and other hands-on experiences.
